Assemblies and Collective Worship
Assemblies and Collective Worship
A daily act of worship is led by the class teacher. This focuses on our Catholic character and other topical issues. This type of worship also supports the children's faith development and knowledge of curriculum Religious Studies.
Monday 2.45pm Whole School Worship and Hymn Practice
Our Monday worship focuses on the Liturgical Calendar and British Values, as well as introducing children to religious hymns sung in school.
Friday 2.45pm Whole School Celebration Assembly and Worship
Parents and Friends of the school are welcome to attend our celebration assembly, where children receive Gold Awards, Merits and other certificates. Children are also encouraged to bring in certificates from home and share their talents if they wish.
Each class also prepares and performs a class assembly each year as well as weekly acts of worship, planned by the children.
Other Key Stage and whole school worships happen on a regular basis as well as class and school Masses at Our Lady and St Michael Parish Church, adjacent to the school.
