COVID-19 Catch-Up Premium was introduced by the Government to support the most vulnerable and disadvantaged pupils in schools as they catch up on lost learning, caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The allocation to each school is based on £80 per pupil in school. Alston Lane received £15,280 for 2021.22.

How we allocated and spend this funding:

• Early language intervention for the youngest children through the Welcom project.
• The recruitment of an intervention teacher (2.5 days per week).
• School based tuition for children who require support to access age related expectations in reading, writing and mathematics.
